Talked to the builder this morning, and we are looking at next friday or Monday as a move in date. So, I have to finalize a zillion things, pack crap, clean crap, wax all the floors with 3-5 coats ( to safeguard the sealer) and a bajillion other things to do. AND I still have no furniture....or money,.....LOL

Oh but that is still great news! I am so happy for you. I would have probably given up and divorced my entire family by now.

What are you going to do about furniture? Do you at least have stuff picked out?

Well, we bought stove, dishwasher, and frig on Saturday, got great deals. Just under $1700 for all 3( gas stove are $$$$)
We have furniture livingroom furniture picked out just in case. Some friends offered/gave us their BRAND NEW couch and love seat, but now they are getting divorced, so not sure if we will still get it. I have coffee and end tables, antiques I bought from a friend.
We still need beds, mattresses, lamps, small appliances etc....sheets, curtains, a million other things.

Oh congrats on the news. I hate to move. When I moved in this house from my apartment (it was my moms house, she moved into my grandma's house, and my brother moved into my apartment..confusing) I had to work, but all this was done in one day. I never was so thankful to be working a day in my life. By the time I got home from work, everything was moved, just not organized.

I know, I can't fathom how much it would cost to replace furniture. I need to get a new stove, but have been putting it off because they are so expensive. We have a paper around here that is just for people selling things, yard sales, autos, guns etc. I seen an almost new stove in it and it was very nicely priced. When I called about it, it had already been sold, my luck. I love to look in that paper, sometimes you can find some great deals.

Good luck on settling in. I don't envy you at all. It will be so great on 3-4 days though.
