New/Old Job
Well to all my friends who love and care for me I have some exciting news - I'm finally starting a new job (the last offer I had never panned out due to my surgery & their office reorganization) I start to work in the morning.
After prayerful consideration, meditation, counsel, and anguish, I have decided to go back to work for my old employer on a trial basis. I resigned from this job because the stress level became unbearable. I was traveling all the time & trying to raise my grandchildren who had just been dumped in my lap.
No, I don’t need a psychiatric evaluation (yet).
The operations manager that replaced me resigned Friday and my old boss (AKA Little Hitler) approached me Saturday. Financially he made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
Fred & I had an extensive meeting Sun evening with him and we decided to give this a shot for a temporary period of 30 days. If at the end of this time period things don’t seem to be working out either party can walk away –no harm –no foul.
I won't be around much because the CEO of this company is extremely demanding and more than a little nuts.
I'm going to miss everyone here very much.

Re: New/Old Job
I hope you're still able to drop in here! Hopefully things have changed since you last worked there and it's not so stressful. Like you said though, it's a month trial and you can walk away if it's still too much. Good luck!

Re: New/Old Job
What! You're leaving me? You're putting your need to feed your family before my happiness? Damn you!
Re: New/Old Job
Scar,
Best of luck in your new venture. I understand how demanding those jobs can be, but please know we need you here too!
I know, I know, family first and all that .....
I'm guessing you're really holding the ball in your court. It's an amazing compliment that you were offered something you can't refuse, esp. given the circumstances from which you left. May you keep holding the cards Cheers!

Re: New/Old Job
OMG-- This week has been almost as crazy as I had expected.
I miss everyone here terribly!
I've been having withdrawal symptoms.
My brother is in town this weekend and we are going to ride our motorcycles today so at least today I can relax.
xoxoxx
to everyone!

Re: New/Old Job
I think you should quit the job and come back here full time -- grocery money and putting a roof over your head be damned!
