The Phoenix Lander touched down just a few minutes ago!

Awesome, awesome achievement. Hopefully the solar panels open and we get some great data from this guy over the next couple of years!

They have a special on the Science Channel about it right now. We just bought a 50" plasma TV a couple of weeks ago, and this is by far the best thing we have used it for.

Forgot to mention, this is the new Mars lander.....

Shoot! I forgot that was today! Better go check and see if it's being aired here or if I can find it online.

We were just watching that live! NASA (as well as us!) was holding their breath on that landing. It's great that everything so far has gone as planned. Hopefully it'll continue to go as planned, and we'll learn a lot. It's amazing to me...

Lol- I was looking for information about this landing on the online news channels and found nothing. Should have known to come here first for my information!!

I saw some while I was eating my free continental breakfast in the hotel lobby this morning! I'm a huge science and astronomy buff and I'm so excited about this awesome acheivement. Whoo Hoo, NASA!
