1 1/2 lbs. Polish Sausage (1/4" slices)
2 x 14 oz. cans Pork & Beans
2 x 14 oz. cans Kidney Beans
1 x 14 oz. can Lima Beans, drained
3 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup Bell Peppers (green, red, yellow)
1 medium Onion, chopped
1 x 10 oz. can Tomato Soup
1/4 cup Rogers' Golden Syrup*
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1/2 tsp. Dried Mustard

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and bake on low temperature for 8 - 10 hours. If you do not fancy lima beans use a can of mixed beans.

*Golden Syrup - in the USA it is Karo (dark).

My grandkids love this! Well, everyone love this.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen golden syrup... is it like corn syrup?

Yes. It is thick, golden in color and the brand name here in BC is Rogers.

I wonder if corn syrup or maple would work? I'm sure we must have golden syrup here and I've missed it. Is it in the baking section? If it is then I definately would miss it!

hmm...Maple Syrup would be too thin. Look for the Karo Brand, they have two one golden, one clear. Rogers could be an 'out west thing'. In our store; syrup is with the jams, etc. Not a baker, eh? I enjoy to bake, I make a fine chocolate ganache cake - lord, it is delicious!

If I ever make it out to my father in law's in Nelson, I'll have to stop in for cake. I know you're probably no where near Nelson, but that's probably the closest to you I'll get! lol!

I just realized I'm hitting everyone up for cake -- first kath, now you... who else has some?
