sorm damage - new roof
We had a horrendous wind/rain event last Thurs night (the 16th) and lost some singles... called our neighbor/home builder to come and repair. After he looked at it, he asked if we had contacted our home insurance company... had not, but then did. Claims adjust came Friday and gave us the good news that he's buying us a new roof, (improperly installed 12 years ago to begin with), gutters and trim. My contractor send a couple of guys yesterday to tarp us...good thing, looks like rain tonight.
Now we wait on Chad (contractor) to get with his roofer and work up an estimate, and hopefully it'll be within the parameters of what the claims adjust said they'd pay... which is close to $6000 ... however, we do have $1000 deductible,so getting a new roof, gutters and trim for a $1000 bucks sounds like a good deal
