Happy T-day to all our Canadian friends!
I well remember ages ago rushing around Sarnia trying to find the very last turkey in town to cook while my pop and I were visiting my then-bf. We finally found a poor one-winged bird in a small grocery store. It turned out to be nice and tasty despite its disability and not a scrap went to waste.

Glad to hear Gimpy was tasty. I hope he didn't suffer when he lost his wing.

The pilgrims are in relations only to the USA. When all came to North America - The Natives was already here.
In Canada, the Thanksgiving Day is to celebrate, to reap the rewards of the harvest. Everybody joins in! Because the weather is colder in Canada - hence - Thanksgiving Day comes before you folks in the USA.

most importantly to remember, the day after the big dinner is the best... leftovers without being in the kitchen all day long !
