Re: CUISINART SMARTSTICK REDUCED!
I do have some Amazon gift certificates but not buying anything for myself right now. I have a grandson coming in Dec & there are Christmas presents to be paid for too. I was just thinking though that these would make nice gifts. I might get one for my oldest dd for Christmas. Let me know how you like it after you get yours please.

Re: CUISINART SMARTSTICK REDUCED!
I have a braun like this and I love it. I make cappucino with it every morning. It makes great foam for your coffee. I also love it for soups that I like to make myself. cream of potato, asparagus, split pea. It also makes yummy mashed potatoes with the whisk part and fast merignue with egg whites. I don't know what this one comes with but the one I had came with different attachments and some cups etc to whip cream etc in. Mine is getting old so I am glad to have one this but I paid well over $100 for the braun one.

Re: CUISINART SMARTSTICK REDUCED!
We have the Braun... probably about 16 years old... had no idea of the cost as our kids gave it to us for Christmas way back then.... I use it for my daily smoothies (bananas/strawberries/van. soy milk, flax and cincinnom) and in between, when I make a chilly pototoe soup... I buy a small chilly from a local place (Rally Burgers) and boil potatoes, cheddar cheese and a little canned milk and blend the heck out of it... great super loaded potatoe soup !

Re: CUISINART SMARTSTICK REDUCED!
Yeah its great for soups!
There are 2 brauns. Mine was an expensive 400 watt stick blender that had Tyler Florence, the tv chef's name attached to it so it is a very heavy duty one. It came with a chopper. You put stuff in this little round container and put the stick on top and it will chop onions etc. Then there was a tall plastic container to put whipping cream in or egg whites and you can whip them in that or anything you have at home. Then it came with a whipping attachment and the regular plade that purees. The 400 watts makes it very powerful. I think this cusinart one is only 200 watts. But I will still be happy to have it if I ever get the invite!

Re: CUISINART SMARTSTICK REDUCED!
I had a Braun for over 20 years, loved it, one of the few appliances I have replaced. Mine has a chopper attachment, and some sort of other thingy....not sure, never use them. I paid $69 on clearance at target.

Re: CUISINART SMARTSTICK REDUCED!
Mine has the chopper thing and seperate cup too... but like Erin, have never used them... the stick does everything I want it to do..... but I can say, no one's name is attached to it... was a gift I'm guessing in the early 90's... and still working :-) Tyl;er Florence was probably just a dishwasher then, working his way to chef status

Re: CUISINART SMARTSTICK REDUCED!
Okay, you've convinced me!
I've been wanting one of these gadgets for years for soups and milkshakes, and I'm not holding my breath waiting for one from the BA campaign.
So.....
I'm gonna use some of my hoarded Amazon GCs that I'd been saving for a satellite radio (which has been out of stock for months and months anyway). I'm gonna get the white one to match my Cuisinart mini-prep and toaster.
Thanks for the tip!

I have $0 in Amazon GC. I don't foresee any in my near future, either. My sources have dried up.

Re: CUISINART SMARTSTICK REDUCED!
I finally got around to buying the blender, and for once being slow paid off. Instead of the $29.27 it was showing yesterday, it was down to $27.99 today. YAY!
Plus I got one of the 30 oz. stainless steel mixing cups to prevent mixing messes when doing milkshakes. And I've still got $75 left in my account!
As for stalking the ever-popular Amazon GCs, I've been pretty successful this year with Clear Voice Surveys. So far I've managed $110 in GCs this year plus a couple of product tests, and I'm less than a dollar away from cashing out for another $10 GC.

They even give you 10 cents credit when you DQ out of a survey, so it adds up nicely.
