MyPoints Holiday Bonus Points

I'm not talking about the Spin and Win here, but the Holiday Points I noticed a few days ago. When you click on the heading, it'll tell you what the bonus points are for shopping through their partners who have a gift box emblem next to them. For example, Wed it was an extra 20% on points earned. Thursday it was 15% extra, Friday it was 10% extra, and today it's 20% extra.

If I could get my act together, I'd fill my carts at various stores with things that I want and only buy when the extra points are at 25% or higher. It says it goes up to 50% extra points awarded.

All I've gotten is 10 and 15 percent.The again I only spinned a couple of times.

This isn't really a spin. It changes daily. Click on Holiday Bonus and the leaves blow away and tell you what today's bonus is.

Today, Sunday I see 50%! Hello Overstock! That's 15 points per dollar.

Along the top, the orange headings are Shop, Deals, Easy Points, Rewards, DealShare, and Holiday Bonus. Click on Holiday Bonus and it says blow away the leaves to reveal today's bonus. It's 50% Extra Points today.

Unfortunately, when I checked Target GC which is what I send my grandgirls, I learned in the find print the 50% doesn't apply to gift cards, which is what we give them... and Nordstroms doesn't have a 50% bonus which is where we order my daughter's GC for Xmas.... so I'm shit out of luck... Only thing I have going for me is using our Discover Card for charging to because there I do get double bonus points which also translate to GC.

Some of the stores do give points for GC purchases. Usually it tells you if you click on the number of points you get when you buy at that store. As for the bonus points, the store needs to have a little gift box to be eligible for the bonus. I was thinking about scooping up some bonus points from Lancome since I live in the middle of nowhere and missed the big in-store bonus event this fall. But the same thing - no holiday bonus points from them. I placed 2 small orders, but decided to hold off on Overstock. I have my eye on some curtains, but they don't have the color I want in stock.

I'll keep checking on bonus points and post here if they're high again.

All right, I'm a little confused on this now. I checked yesterday and it said it was 10% Bonus. Later on I got an email from MyPoints saying that I had earned bonus points from a purchase I had made the day before when it was 50%, and it said to click here to see what today's bonus is. When I clicked it, it said it was 50% again. I didn't trust that, so I checked again directly from the MyPoints website and yep, it said 50%.

So...I went back to Overstock and they had my curtains in stock in the Beige color. Honest! So I placed that order. Those points have showed up already, but not the bonus points.

Today I get another email that says I earned bonus points from another purchase. Click here to see what your bonus is today...50% again! What the heck. Nothing to order right now, but I really expected the 50% bonuses to be as rare as the winning spins on the spin 'n' win game.

I had the 50% bonus today & placed a few orders. I did 2 at Borders & one at Vans. Vans is listed as a new merchant, so it was already double points. The 50% bonus is even better!

When your Bonus points post, you'll get an email, and an invitation to check out what the Holiday Bonus is today. Every single time, it has been at 50% for me. It's showing 50% again for me just from the MyPoints site.

Just wanted to mention that the holiday bonus also applies to magazines. I ordered a gift subscription and got 500 points. I also got the holiday bonus of 250. Really a good deal if you need and gift subscriptions, or even for yourself
