my points reward question

I know a few of you are my points experts. It is all new to me. Someone mentioned that the amazon gift cards are just emailed to you. What other rewards do they just email a code rather than wait for the gc. How long does it normally take for the gc to be shipped to mailing address. thanks

I signed up with MyPoints prior to the whole BzzAgent tie-in, but probably less than 3 months ago. I never noticed them having Amazon rewards available. So I will also be waiting to hear more about this.

The rewards frequently change. I think they test some such as amazon. Most redemptions are for the actual physical card. Maybe as prices go up in postage/gas/oil etc they will start emailing more codes (it would be cheaper)

I strongly prefer the amazon GCs over the other ones because of the fact that they will be e-mailed. I can add them to my Amazon account the same day and not have to worry about losing them. Wal-mart is my second choice because I'm in there every other day, plus I can use them for gas OR for discounted stuff.

I just got a gc from my points in the mail yesterday. I had ordered it about a week ago. The only other gc I got from them I redeemed months earlier and I think that one took a couple of weeks, so I thought this last one came really fast.

Karen, I agree about the Amazon GC...if it's for myself. I have never had a problem with them and I like having a credit at Amazon.com. Otherwishe it's nice to have something to put in a card or wrap in some way or include in a basket.

For those who love amazon gc or codes.....if you do get a card/cert code you can enter the code in your amazon account after logging in and chosing balances......so no worries about losing them.

I do this because I have the amazon card that sends paper certificates after every 2500 points so the were adding up quickly and I was afraid i would through them out.
